Stylized Family Portraits

Sometime in 2018, I was in an art rut and decided to draw a caricature of my best friend. From there I started drawing other people I knew in the same style, and loosely thought I might turn it into a series of trading-card-esque collectibles of the Grand Rapids music scene. Early on I was calling them "People of Grand Rapids," but quickly enough they became popular and I had commissions coming in from all over. I scrapped my initial ideas, and now this is simply an ongoing series of stylized bobblehead-like caricatures of people I know, self portraits, and custom orders far and wide.
